Role Overview

On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for an ambitious, confident and creative Social Media & Content Executive to join their marketing team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is integral to building brand awareness and staying connected with their target audience. You'll develop engaging social media output, create innovative digital content plans, grow their online community, and track growth to support business goals.



Key Responsibilities



Social Media & Community

  • Take ownership and implement the social media and content budget to engage new and existing audiences
  • Manage the full delivery of the social calendar and schedule, tracking campaigns and ensuring consistent tone of voice
  • Support local teams with marketing initiatives through social media guidelines and seasonal toolkits
  • Foster community engagement through thoughtful interactions with the audience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, acquisition, and operations


Content Creation

  • Deliver digital content marketing strategies aligned with the brand and business goals
  • Write, edit, and curate high-quality content for various channels (blogs, social media, email campaigns)
  • Take an insights-led approach to content planning and optimisation
  • React to social trends with relevant content and coordinate user-generated content


Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce weekly and monthly KPI reports highlighting key focus areas to improve ROI
  • Analyse performance data to make strategic recommendations for increasing reach and engagement
  • Monitor competitors to understand market opportunities and threats
  • Identify initiatives to enhance brand recognition and loyalty


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a social media or similar content marketing role
  • Strong planning and time-management skills with a creative and flexible approach
  • Analytical mindset comfortable with data analysis
  • Experience managing organic and paid social media campaigns
  • Proficiency with social management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite)
  • Experience creating editorial calendars and content plans across multiple channels
  • Familiarity with email marketing software (Mailchimp or similar)
  • Experience managing online community engagement and reviews
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine passion for content and social media trends
