Our client is seeking an SEO Specialist with proven experience and a strong passion for digital marketing to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in improving search engine rankings and will be responsible for developing and executing effective SEO strategies. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to enhance the overall online presence.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Keyword Research & Strategy: Conduct comprehensive keyword research and analysis to drive content creation and SEO strategy.
  • Content Optimization: Optimize website content, including metadata, URLs, and internal linking, ensuring alignment with SEO best practices.
  • SEO Strategy Implementation: Execute on-page and off-page SEO strategies to enhance website visibility, rankings, and user experience.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure SEO principles are embedded across content, development, and marketing activities.
  • SEO Tools Proficiency: Leverage tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog to monitor and improve performance.
  • Competitor & Market Analysis: Perform competitor analysis and keyword research to discover new opportunities, particularly for the eCommerce sector.
  • Monitoring & Auditing: Regularly audit website elements, including category and product pages, to identify areas for optimization.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to manipulate data and generate reports that provide actionable insights for SEO improvement.
  • UX/UI Considerations: Apply knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) best practices to enhance SEO and website functionality.
  • Social Media Integration: Ensure SEO strategies are effectively integrated with social media efforts to boost overall visibility.
  • Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and digital marketing developments to maintain cutting-edge practices.


Day-to-Day Tasks:

  • Monitor and audit NHS, CD, LMP, and NSS data.
  • Execute daily SEO tasks such as image optimization, content improvements, and refining website link structures.
  • Develop content templates to guide writers in optimizing their material for SEO.
  • Analyze performance using Smartlook sessions to identify pain points and propose solutions.
  • Review and optimize the performance of category and product pages, with a focus on boosting search rankings and user engagement.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and keyword research to identify new product and content opportunities for the website.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in SEO, with a focus on eCommerce.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and familiarity with alternatives like Moz, Ahrefs, and Sitebulb.
  • Strong technical understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in relation to SEO.
  • Experience with content management systems and SEO techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI best practices to enhance SEO performance.
  • Understanding of how social media management influences SEO outcomes.
