Digital Marketing Officer

Location: Hybrid / 2 Days a week in office in Rotherham

A leading Software company are looking for a Digital Marketing Officer. Work to include, but is not limited to: planning, creating, developing and implementing all aspects of our digital marketing strategy to reach more people, generate leads, and build a stronger relationship with our audiences.


Job Function

  1. Social Media: Plan, create and coordinate a schedule of activity across our LinkedIn and YouTube platforms to expand our social media audience base
  2. Email Marketing: Plan, create and manage a regular schedule of email marketing activity and creating engaging and relevant content including testing to optimise results
  3. Product Marketing: Ensure product descriptions are up to date, create brochures and promotional materials for all departments across the business to share with potential clients
  4. Brand Guidelines: To assist in the development of brand guidelines and ensure compliance in all areas of work
  5. Content: Write engaging content for a variety of audiences that is consistent with brand guidelines. Keeping up to date and informed about all aspects of our work
  6. Reporting: Monitor, report and analyse marketing campaign results to improve performance so that amendments and improvements can be made where appropriate
  7. Website: Ensure that the content is up to date, has a consistent tone of voice, user journeys are clear and performance of content is measured against clear KPI’s                                                                                                          

Knowledge, skills and experience

  1. B2B marketing experience essential
  2. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  3. Strong writing skills with ability to produce compelling copy
  4. Proof reading and editorial skills with a good eye for detail
  5. Strong analytical and ICT skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products
  6. Ability to work as part of a team and individually
  7. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  8. Analytics and SEO experience
  9. Experience of managing social media campaigns
  10. Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  11. Knowledge of marketing principles and brand management
  12. Knowledge of effective social media techniques and strategies

Desirable skills

  • Video creation/editing experience. In both live capture and animation skills
  • Experience in photography and image editing
  • Basic HTML editing skills
