Agency profile: Data driven advertising agency that look to fuel the agency process with good quality insights and information that leads to the generation of campaigns that deliver results.

Direct Line Managers – Media Director

Day to day Interaction – media planning / buyer team and other agency department’s suppliers and clients as necessary.

General role

Is a trusted member of the media team / agency and is active in delivering the services of the agency to the highest standard. Delivers the day to day running of the Digital Media Buying unit and cooperates with other team members to have a positive impact on the unit and the wider organisation. Controls and prioritises the workflow between team members and drives the development of the media team.

Represent the agency in a professional manner and to assist in establishing the credibility of the agency in line with the mission of the business.

Oversees and leads the core digital media planning and buying role within the agency that identifies which media platforms are best suited to a clients products and services. Works with clients to agree and set KPI’s which the agency will be delivering against. Use all data sources available to guide their clients to optimize their advertising campaigns across the media mix.

Ensures media planner / buyers are combining creative thinking with factual analysis to develop appropriate strategies to ensure that campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible. Ensuring they apply knowledge of media and communication platforms to identify the most appropriate mediums for delivering against the clients KPI’s.

Acts as a quality control point for deliverables from the digital media buying team.

Deliver a client service that exceeds the expectations of the client. Instil total confidence in the internal team and the client regarding the ‘media buying and planning’ function in the agency.

Alongside specialisms, has good knowledge and experience across all media.

Client Service - Accountabilities

  • Represent the team and act as would be befitting a senior member of the team.
  • Lead client relationships in a digital media context across the agency.
  • Knows the top line status of and is responsible for, all digital media client projects in the agency.
  • Can discuss with confidence both offline and online media buying and understands the integration of these within a client strategy.
  • Be the digital champion in the agency and be able to discuss in depth with insight during client meetings all aspects of digital, linking these to the clients required outcomes.

Internal Service - Accountabilities

  • Be accountable for preparing and reporting digital media revenue and understanding the context of set targets in the wider agency.
  • Drive digital team to achieve and exceed revenue targets set by the agency board.
  • Facilitate the development of best practice brand digital strategies, both paid and organic, including Web, Mobile, Social Media, CRM and Marketing Automation for the media team.
  • Ensure all digital strategies are implemented correctly, either directly or through other team members.
  • Lead internal stakeholders in best practice in and assessment of digital mediums.

Competencies:

  • Understanding of all digital channels including but not restricted to, Google Ads, SEO, Paid Social, Native, Programmatic, Amazon Marketing Services.
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag manager and other common digital tools.
  • Strong office based skills especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to deliver on agreed goals.
  • Is a team player and a motivator to those around them.
  • Has good management skills and able to coach and develop junior team members.
  • Has very strong interpersonal skill and presentation skills.
  • Has a good network of industry contacts that can be drawn upon if required.
  • Has a ‘can do’ attitude and is willing to adapt to fit the needs of the team.
  • Able to demonstrate detailed knowledge across digital media channels.
