Role: Marketing Data Analyst– Hybrid in Batley
Salary: £30-35k per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

General overview:
The Marketing Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our marketing team by conducting customer profile research, attitudinal analysis, and evaluating marketing performance across various channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. This role will also involve strategic planning, local targeting, and working closely with agencies to plan and implement media plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct customer profile research and attitudinal analysis to understand customer behaviours, preferences, and trends.
- Analyse and evaluate marketing performance across various channels (e.g., digital, print, TV, radio) to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.
- Provide data-driven insights to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain local targeting strategies and postcode profiles to optimize marketing efforts and reach the right audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to plan, implement, and evaluate media plans.
- Create and manage dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Use advanced analytics tools and techniques to identify opportunities for improving marketing performance and customer engagement.
- Monitor and analyse competitors’ activities and market trends to inform marketing strategies.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining and updating databases and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in marketing analytics and data management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing data analysis or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Power BI).
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and attitudinal analysis.
- Strong understanding of various marketing channels and their performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and local targeting strategies is a plus.
