Job title: Marketing & Communication Manager
Location: Home based/Windsor 2-3 days per week. Occasional travel with overnight stays may be required.

Role Purpose
As Marketing & Communication Manager you’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to build and maintain local authority and commissioner partnerships, support recruitment activities for new and existing locations, and engage the workforce through internal communications. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and leadership skills to drive brand growth and achieve our organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with the company’s business goals.
- Lead the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels to support operations and the Business Development Team with filling voids.
- Lead the creation and execution of recruitment campaigns across various channels to support operations and the Recruitment Team with filling vacancies.
- Lead the creation and execution of communication campaigns across the organisation to support employee engagement objectives.
- Analyse market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing, recruitment and communication activities.
- Manage the company’s brand image, templates and branded resources including budget.
- Oversee the development of creative content including graphics, videos, and copywriting.
- Oversee the company’s digital presence including website management, SEO/SEM strategies, and external social media channels.
- Oversee the communication and engagement with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network and represent the voice of Salutem.
- Develop and execute strategies for online advertising, including display ads and retargeting campaigns.
- Monitor and optimise campaigns to maximise ROI.
- Coordinate the design and distribution of promotional merchandise and materials.
- Responding to marketing and communication queries and requests, updating progress on the management system
- Manage a team of marketing and communication professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve department goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging e.g. (Communication & Engagement Team).
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to various campaigns and initiatives.
- Track and report on marketing spend and campaign performance, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Conduct regular market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Use data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Manage public relations efforts including press releases, media relations, and crisis communications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and partners.
- Track and report on marketing and communication KPIs.
- Provide progress reports to the Director of Learning & Organisational Development and Senior Leadership Team on marketing activities.
About The Role
Skills and experience
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Ability to align campaigns with business development and recruitment efforts, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals.
- Expertise in digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms.
- Experience of managing marketing budgets, forecasting, and ensuring effective resource allocation for campaigns and initiatives.
- Knowledge of creating engaging content for different platforms (blogs, social media, video scripts, etc.).
- Knowledge of tools for surveys, focus groups, and data analysis to inform marketing decisions.
- Experience managing paid advertising campaigns, including PPC (pay-per-click) and display advertising on platforms like Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Experience in planning and executing marketing events, trade shows, or webinars to engage with target audiences and enhance brand visibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and adaptive communication skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse data and metrics to inform decision-making.
- Familiar with WordPress or other website software
- Ability to respond and contribute to multiple demands with agility and pace

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field
- CIM qualified or other Marketing/Communications qualification
- Social care sector experience
