Role Purpose

The Internal Communications and Engagement Manager working for our client is responsible for creating and executing strategies to enhance internal communication, boost employee engagement, and foster a positive workplace culture. This role requires a strategic and proactive approach to collaboration and communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of communication, marketing, and engagement strategies to support our client's mission, growth, and sector influence.
  • Communications Management: Oversee all internal and external communications, including PR, media relations, and customer insights, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Implement systematic approaches to stakeholder engagement and deliver national events that highlight our work.
  • Content Creation: Produce compelling content for various internal channels, maintaining consistent messaging and branding.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee morale and satisfaction, including organizing events and recognition programs.
  • Intranet Management: Manage the intranet platform to facilitate effective communication and collaboration, providing training and support to employees.
  • Feedback Analysis: Administer engagement surveys, analyse results, and develop action plans to improve workplace culture.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with executives, department heads, and cross-functional teams to align communication efforts with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in internal communications or employee engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives.
  • Proficiency in intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint) and employee engagement survey tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum

Work Environment

  • Office-based: 3 days per week, with visits to service centers to ensure alignment with key principles and messages.
