MIDLANDS / SOUTH EAST REGION - HOMEBASED
£50K - £60K (DOE) + Commission + Car or Car Allowance + Pension

They are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Direct Mail Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to join their team and drive business growth in the Midlands / South East region.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to increase client base and revenue within the Midlands / South East region. This role requires a proactive and results-driven professional with a deep understanding of direct mail services and a proven track record in business development and sales. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients in the Midlands / South East region who can benefit from direct mail services.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored direct mail solutions to meet their marketing objectives.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our services and capabilities.
- Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and quotations to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to secure new business.
- Ensure all contractual agreements are documented and comply with company policies.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, production, and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Provide feedback and insights to improve our service offerings and customer experience.
- Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to the development of sales strategies.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development and sales, preferably within the direct mail or related industry.
- Strong understanding of direct mail services and marketing principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
