SALES & MARKETING MANAGER / TELFORD / OFFICE BASED / £40,000 TO £50,000 PER ANNUM

A unique opportunity for an ambitious individual. A Telford based SME is looking to find a hands-on Sales and Marketing Manager to develop a successful niche distribution business, focused on manufacturing, distribution and selling into key strategic markets.

The business has a stable customer base that requires maintenance and requires a strategic approach to business development. The successful candidate will be a skilled marketeer who also enjoys time spent with customers developing the product range and widening the customer base and brand reach.

Acting as the primary onsite manager, the role will carry a large degree of scope for development as well as autonomy. This position reports into the directors of the parent company, and is office based.

What’s on Offer?

  • £40,000 to £50,000 plus OTE 10%

  • Working hours: 8:30 am till 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, Office based.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales & Marketing Manager:

  • Ownership of on-going management of an established UK and European customer base.
  • The management of an internal support team including admin, customer services and sales.
  • Ownership of marketing strategy with primary focus on business development via digital channels.
  • The retention of existing customers, increasing sales volumes and maximise cross selling opportunities.
  • To be able to provide strategic direction, based on market feedback.
  • Provide guidance for the development of new product lines and corresponding routes to market.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous B2B sales management experience is essential, including people management.
  • Experience of taking new products to market within a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in strategic marketing with proven market/customer development strategies.
  • A proven track record in digital marketing and ideally including export markets.
  • You will be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • You should have a positive outlook and be able to deal with a large range of people and situations.
  • Proven experience of achieving sales targets and growing business
  • Strong IT skills are essential to manage a large customer base.
  • Being able to travel for business, shows and customer visits on a regular basis.
