They seek an experienced UX/UI Designer responsible for conducting user research, designing intuitive website experiences, and partnering with internal teams to drive user engagement and conversions through ongoing design optimisation. Location: Basingstoke, UK (Hybrid—3 days in the office per week). It is very close to the station, and on-site free parking is offered. 

THE UX/UI DESIGNER ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Conduct user research and analysis to understand user behaviour, preferences, and pain points on existing websites.
  • Utilise tools like Crazy Egg, Hotjar, and other analytics platforms to track user journeys, heat maps, and website performance.
  • Design and optimise website structures, information architecture, and user flows for improved usability and conversions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new website designs or redesigns.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of designs.
  • Perform usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, best practices, and technologies.

THE IDEAL UX/UI DESIGNER WILL HAVE:

  • Proven experience in UX/UI design, specifically for websites (e.g., e-commerce, SaaS, marketing websites).
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Experience with user research techniques (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing).
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and iterate based on feedback.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong UX/UI design skills and successful project outcomes.
