We are currently seeking an interim Marketing Assistant to work with our global FMCG client, renowned for brands such as Colman's Hellmann's, Marmite, and Pot Noodle, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role for 12 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £29,600 per annum, depending upon experience.

The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals currently serving in marketing assistant or coordination roles who aspire to advance their careers into Brand Management. The primary focus of the role will be on Colman's brand, with additional responsibilities extending to support other prominent brands such as Marmite, Bovril, and Pot Noodle.

INTRODUCTION

The UK & Ireland cluster belongs to the Nutrition Business Unit, with Customer Strategy and Planning sitting at the very centre of Operations and Strategy for the Business Unit. Europe sells over 4,500 skus, is the birthplace of one of our client's biggest and oldest heritage brands, Knorr, as well as driving growth in Hellmann's and market-leading local brands such as Colman's, Pot Noodle and Marmite. It is also the home of the world's largest retail alliances and buying groups, creating opportunities for industry-leading strategic partnerships, as well as complex negotiations and competitive trading environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Digital lead: Lead on all things digital, social, and e-commerce for Colman's - including ownership of the website, content development and PRM strategy. You will also support on some of our other jewel brands like Marmite and Bovril.
  • Trade & partnership execution: Shopfloor is the most important touchpoint for Colman's to drive trial and conversion. You will work with the shopper marketing team to ensure unmissable execution of Colman's shopper plans in-store and online across key seasonal moments, campaigns and NPD launches.
  • Brand BMI ownership and tracking: Ensure brilliant grip and full management of the Colman's brand marketing budget.
  • Brand performance management: Tracking and creating monthly performance updates and newsletters for Colman's to share with wider team to support identifying any risks or opportunities working with cross functional teams to find solutions.
  • Event management: Ownership of all internal local jewel PR moments throughout the year, as well as lead/support various events across the brands.
  • Local Jewels Sample and Careline lead: Own end-to-end sample management and lead our relationship for with Customer careline colleagues to bring visibility to the team on consumer feedback across the brands.

Key requirements:

  • Passion for marketing and food!
  • Good level of commercial understanding
  • Relevant experience in FMCG beneficial but not essential
  • Degree in marketing or closely related area

Kingston working environment:

  • Contractors who are based at Kingston will be eligible to get free parking

  • A Gym is available for use on the Ground Floor (with subscription).
  • Facilities in the gym include cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines, spin bikes, free weights area, boxing equipment and a stretch/matted area. Classes are also available and can be booked directly with the Gym. Shower facilities are available in the changing rooms, along with hairdryers.
