We’re looking for someone who is passionate about communications to join a small team working for a Fire Service in Hertfordshire.  You’ll have a broad range of communications skills and experience and will be as comfortable drafting engaging press releases and opinion pieces, to creating eye-catching and engaging social media and digital content.

Our ideal person will enjoy working as part of a team to deliver impactful communications and campaigns both for internal and external audiences.  You’ll also be responsible for acknowledging communications requests from across the organisation and ensuring the communications calendar and planner is maintained.

Please note that this contract will be initially offered on a fixed term basis for 10 months. The salary range offered is between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on experience.

Requirements

  • Devising campaign strategies using industry best practice templates (e.g. OASIS)
  • Leading on implementation of campaign delivery at our client site. This means  you will need to be hands-on with experience of media, digital and marketing.
  • Understanding of how to build the golden thread in campaign planning by setting and linking research and objectives to strategy, implementation and evaluation.
  • Ability to generate and deploy content that achieves intended objectives
  • Managing proactive and reactive communications activities including campaigns, media activities and internal communications
  • Experience in providing project and/or campaign administration and management support.
