As a Paid Search Account Director, you will be directing with your team to deliver best-in-class performance for your assembly of clients. You will be a specialist in AI-powered search practices and operations. With your platform knowledge, you’ll navigate your team through the latest best practices, standardisation and our product proposition enforcement. You will use this to define a paid search strategy that will exceed client business objectives. 

You’ll be the main point of contact for client and partner relationships, and through impeccable operations you will manage the workflow for your team. You will guide your client set through a vigorous roadmap of progression through to futureproof search. But you won’t stop there. You will innovate, fostering a culture of continuous and responsible experimentation.  

You’ll be the guiding force for a team of Account Managers and Account Executives, overseeing their work and nurturing their careers in paid search.

Key responsibilities  

  • You are a motivational manager leading by example. You will empower your team in executing & optimising paid search campaigns to the highest standards as per the Assembly formula for paid search success.  
  • You will quality control the work produced by your direct team and provide constructive feedback as appropriate for their development.  
  • Ensure you are adhering to agreed service level agreements and you are directing your team’s operational excellence.  
  • You are responsible for your team conducting the appropriate level of daily diagnostics to ensure zero errors. You will have systems in place to identify issues and provide solutions to fix things before they become a problem.  
  • Train your team to find the insight that can help us fuel growth for clients.  
  • Supporting line manager with resource planning and recruitment. 
  • Active senior leader of the search community through internal team meetings, training, events, department projects.  
  • You direct & quality control the response to briefs from your team ready for client sign-off.  
  • You will own the partnership with clients, media owners, tech partners.  
  • You will lead presentations and meetings with clients, delegating elements to your team.  
  • Collaborate with other teams in your assembly and department to deliver on projects. 
  • You will be involved in new business pitches, as well as up/cross-selling of our services. 
  • Support on white papers and thought leadership.  

 

Success will be measured by improved performance and business growth for our clients, effective workflow management through timely project/task completions, effective communication and excellent client feedback. The development of your team is a key indicator of how well you direct, it’s essential we see growth in their development through achieving their objectives.

Requirements

  • You never over-promise and under-deliver. Your work is to the highest standard, and always on time. The team you direct will also need to do the same.  
  • You are a self-starter with a passion for paid search and marketing.  
  • A leader for paid search knowledge, with up-to-date certifications essential. 
  • Operationally proficient with project management skills. You demonstrate a clear ability to manage multiple tasks and differing priorities, not only for yourself but for others.  
  • Exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Evidence of being able to manage large multi-market clients, budget, and strategy for Search.  
  • Effective communicator. You will show an ability to be able to talk to clients clearly about performance and strategy.  
  • Experience in line management and setting development plans for your direct reports. Clear evidence of giving constructive feedback to team.  
  • Excellent knowledge of bid management platforms and other Paid Search technologies (Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platform, Search Ads 360, Adobe etc.).  
  • You don’t shy away from taking ownership for you and your team’s output. You identify solutions to problems and are proactive to preventing issues.
