Rat & Boa are looking for an experienced and creative Art Director with high-taste responsible for the development and execution of the Rat & Boa visual identity across all touchpoints, creating an immersive brand world.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Lead the development and execution of our brand's visual identity and creative direction 
• Collaborate with the design team to create captivating and engaging story-telling & content that resonates and deepens the Rat & Boa brand world
• Lead the conceptualisation and execution of creative campaigns, from ideation to pre & post production, including branding, digital design, photography, styling, casting, and creative direction
• Developing and maintaining a consistent brand image across all visual touchpoints, reflecting the brand's personality, values, and voice
• Act as a creative soundboard & support to the Directors
• Manage and provide guidance to a team of designers, photographers, and other creative professionals
• Stay updated on current fashion trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to continually innovate and elevate our content offerings and incorporate them into our brand's visual language
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all creative assets are aligned with our brand strategy
• You have a bias for action, proactively developing ideas and tasks to create for others to feel beautiful
• You have a proven ability to manage workloads and conflicting priorities in a busy work environment.

Requirements

Background and Profile 

Essential skills:

• Proven experience as an Art Director in the apparel and fashion industry
• A deep passion for branding, content & creative storytelling Strong artistic and creative abilities, with a keen eye for design and typography
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and an understanding of how to translate them into compelling visuals
• Strong creative POV with an understanding of business objectives
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

Desirable skills:

• 3+ years of fashion design experience working in Art Direction

Soft skills:

• Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills, able to provide clear direction and leadership on creative concepts visually and verbally.
