We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record in growing a B2B service provider business to lead our marketing department and grow the revenue from 7 to 8 figures. Ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about using data-driven insights to drive customer growth. This role focuses on targeting early-stage startup founders and business leaders aiming to build innovative products. Responsibilities include establishing new channels and campaigns to effectively target these groups, aiming to generate leads and increase brand awareness. As one of our first marketing hires, you will have the opportunity to shape our marketing direction and play a key role in achieving our ambitious growth targets.

This position is ideally suited for individuals who possess a strong confidence in their ability to execute digital marketing strategies and are eager to embrace greater leadership responsibilities over time. The role begins with a hands-on approach, requiring the candidate to actively manage channels independently. However, as the role evolves, there will be a strategic shift towards establishing streamlined processes and expanding the team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategically develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans focusing on both immediate lead generation and long-term brand awareness, specifically targeting early-stage startup founders and business leaders.
  • Expand and optimise a diverse range of marketing channels, including paid search, SEO, and content marketing, to generate qualified leads and enhance brand visibility.
  • Manage the marketing budget with a focus on experimentation to discover scalable and cost-effective growth channels, continuously testing and optimising for improved ROAS and reduced CAC.
  • Conduct experiments and A/B tests to optimise marketing channels, campaigns, and user experiences based on data-driven insights.
  • Foster collaboration with product development, sales, and customer service teams to ensure marketing strategies are integrated with product features, sales processes, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly present insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to the executive team, ensuring marketing alignment with business goals.
  • Manage both internal employees and external partners to execute on marketing objectives.
  • Work with our founders to grow and lead our marketing team.
  • Collaborate with our product delivery teams to produce world class content, to make Thought&Function a household name.
  • Keep up to date with latest marketing trends and tools, refining our approach based on industry best practices. Especially AI tools as this can be very disruptive to traditional marketing practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in growth marketing, with a successful track record in expanding a customer base.
  • Expertise in Paid Search, SEO, and content marketing within a B2B environment.
  • Experience using HubSpot CRM for lead management and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in A/B testing, analytics, and metrics-driven marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • A deep understanding of the full marketing funnel, from acquisition to retention.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot).
