The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who understands the social landscape better than anyone else. You will become the architect of our podcast's digital growth strategy. This role is designed for someone who approaches social media with a blend of creativity, analytics, and strategic foresight. Your mission will be to elevate our podcast series, transforming each episode into a social media event that grows our audience and strengthens our community ties. If you have a proven track record of driving social media growth and are passionate about leveraging digital platforms for content amplification, we're looking for you.

Role Outcomes

  • Episode Engagement and Reach: Work with our Head of Social and wider social team to devise and execute strategies to boost visibility and engagement for each podcast episode across 2-3 different shows, collaborating with hosts, producers, and networks to produce compelling promotional content.
  • Digital Content Expansion: Identify and promote exceptional clips to foster engagement and growth across multiple platforms, spearheading community growth strategies to cultivate a vibrant and interactive audience base.
  • Community Engagement and Feedback Loop: Engage actively with our online communities, utilising influencers and fans to amplify our content, while adopting a feedback-driven approach to continuously refine promotional strategies.
  • Innovative Content Strategy: Lead the podcasting industry with groundbreaking techniques and platforms, challenging conventional methods with innovative tactics to enhance our digital footprint.

Requirements

Must Haves

  • Proven Social Media Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms and campaigns with a track record of growing engagement and audience size.
  • Growth Hacker: A great social media manager knows there is so much more to success than posting and iterating. You must be a professional growth hacker who obsesses over the details.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to leverage analytics tools to monitor social media performance, interpret data, and adjust strategies for optimal results.
  • Content Creation Proficiency: Excellent writing, editing, and visual content creation skills, with the ability to produce engaging and high-quality content.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective social media strategies that align with broader marketing goals.
  • Communication and Engagement: Exceptional communication skills, both for crafting compelling messages and for interacting with the community.
  • Adaptability and Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to adapt to changing trends and come up with innovative ideas for promoting podcast content.
  • Interest in Podcasting: A passion for podcasts and familiarity with the podcasting industry, trends, and audience behaviours.
  • Innovation and Experimentation: Openness to experimenting with new social media tools, platforms, and techniques to keep the brand at the forefront of social trends.

Nice to Haves

  • Solid experience in social media and content management, with a preference for experience in a dynamic media, podcasting, or content creation environment.
  • A proven track record of successful collaboration with diverse teams, partners, and external agencies, including external video production teams.
  • Multimedia Production Skills: Experience with graphic design, video editing, and production software to create visually appealing content.
  • Experience with Influencer Partnerships: Experience in managing influencer collaborations or partnerships to broaden content reach.

  • Some roles will require global travel so flexibility in this aspect is important and your hiring manager will confirm this with you during the interview process
