Base Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 (Negotiable DOE)

Work Structure: Hybrid between 1-2 days onsite weekly, full flexibility

Using our Sentimag® probe, physicians are able to accurately stage breast cancer with our Magtrace® lymphatic tracer and perform tissue localisation procedures with our Magseed® marker.

So far, our team has helped over 450,000 women around the world access more precise and less invasive breast cancer care. Now, we’re looking for a Digital Designer to help us continue to deliver on our promise and play a critical role in our Marketing team. The purpose of the role:

 

We're currently seeking a passionate, optimistic, and imaginative individual to fill a crucial position in the marketing team as a mid-weight Graphic Designer. The individual must have a solid understanding of core design principles and proven experience in designing for both print and digital output.

The individual will work closely with the current Graphic Designer and wider creative team, contributing to both large and small projects, delivering designs of an exceptional standard that answer briefs and contribute to the success of wider marketing objectives.

In this collaborative role, you'll work closely with our existing Graphic Designer, sharing workloads and exchanging ideas to bring your creative vision to life across various print and digital disciplines.

From designing assets for new product launches and campaigns to the day to day design and marketing requests, your role could include anything from designing brochures and flyers to designing engaging graphics for websites, online advertising, social media, presentations, and event materials.

You will also be expected to contribute towards concept development projects and help to translate these ideas into visual design systems. You will also be expected to help implement our brand guidelines across all media. The impact you’ll have will be diverse and significant and a great opportunity to work on a wide range of projects.

Endomag is fully Apple/ Mac-based, ensuring you have the right tools for the job. Our current working practises involve the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and extensively using Figma (ad-hoc or formal training can be provided if required).

 

Key Responsibilities and duties:

 

  • To create well designed and considered marketing materials that adhere to our brand guidelines, for both print and digital media, e.g. brand collateral, brochures, posters, flyers, leaflets, invitations, documents, adverts, events collateral, presentations (print and digital), webpages, social posts, web/ email/ blog graphics)  
  • Concept development and implementation i.e. thinking/ rationale, translate into design system 
  • Static video storyboarding, have an understanding of the importance and application of motion graphics 
  • To implement brand guidelines in all design work, to act as a brand guardian and to aid in further development of the Endomag brand 

 

Requirements

Qualifications

·         Degree in graphic design, design, or a relevant field (not mandatory)

 

Experience and Knowledge

 

  • Preferably, a minimum of 5+ years of experience in an agency or in-house, particularly with product-based or technology-based clients (though all exceptional portfolios are appreciated)
  • Solid understanding of the basic principles of graphic design, is essential (Alignment, Repetition, Contrast, Hierarchy, Balance with Symmetry, Balance with Tension) 
  • Solid understanding of printed output, CMYK vs RGB, linking files, collating files, exporting files, file types, file sizes, resolutions (effective PPI, actual PPI) etc 
  • Solid understanding of digital output – understanding of layouts, appropriate file sizes and resolutions for the web/email (e.g., JPG vs. PNG usage, 'save for web' functionality, awareness of file-size optimization, considerations for retina displays, and knowledge of common digital resolutions and ratios such as 16:9 / 1920x1080) 
  • Technological proficiency is preferred 
  • Understand the value of brand and some experience in brand design/ development

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Familiarity with Figma (or equivalent transferable skills like Adobe XD)
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint, Keynote & Google Slides
  • Ability to manipulate and retouch imagery
  • Ability to create simple GIFs
  • Ability to interpret and implement brand guidelines
  • Strong decision-making skills and effective communicator
  • Willingness and ability to collaborate and learn
