Job Description

As a Portfolio Strategy Manager for Procore you will champion a market-orientated approach, putting market intelligence at the heart of everything we do to inform the business on how to go to market. Your research programmes will enable the organisation to make data-driven decisions to establish and improve Procore’s position in our chosen markets. 

You will be responsible for leveraging insights to guide the marketing strategy of Procore in our key regions. This includes identifying ideal customer profiles, conducting product market fit assessments, building market-specific positioning, and providing guidance on a go-to-market strategy for our chosen markets. 

You should have experience in product marketing and be an expert in analysing, assessing and bringing together disparate data to build and continually develop market-orientated strategies. You are truly curious about market dynamics, market segmentation, and market sizing, and have a passion for defining target markets. This position requires a blend of skills to extract and deliver market intelligence to define our GTM strategy and enable cross-functional teams to further Procore’s differentiation in the market.

What you'll do:

  • Be an internal subject matter expert on key markets and Procore’s position in said markets

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to uncover market insights and define how we go to market (e.g. jobs-to-be-done, segmentation, product-market fit, competitive landscape, ideal customer profiles, and market positioning)

  • Regularly analyse market dynamics, the macroenvironment and microenvironment of key markets and share findings to cross-functional stakeholders

  • Inform market-specific, persona-specific and product-specific positioning and messaging

  • Deliver market insights across Marketing, Revenue, and Product teams to influence go-to-market programmes, accelerate growth strategies, and inform product roadmap

  • Ensure internal cross-departmental groups are aligned with regional priorities and market needs, and equipped with the necessary information to successfully execute within key markets

  • Be a partner to the Product User Research, Corporate Strategy & Operations, GTM Strategy teams, and Field/Strategic Marketing for market-specific strategies

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing at high-growth companies 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Analytical by nature with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation

  • Strong written and presentation skills, particularly in presenting research findings

  • Passion for creating stories from data and market trends

  • Experience in developing results-driven marketing and go-to-market strategies

  • Effective problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities

  • Ability to take ownership of your role to execute goals, take the initiative to find opportunities, and develop plans that inspire others
